Enquiry is the journal of the Architectural Research Centers Consortium (ARCC) and a principle tool used by the organization in the development and support of a research culture in architecture. Enquiry is indexed by the Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals, Worldcat, OAIster, and Google Scholar. Enquiry is a member of the Open Archive Initiative (OAI) and archived by the Directory of Open Access Journals (DOAJ) and LOCKSS. It is committed to open access publishing and uses an Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike 4.0 International license (CC BY-NC-SA 4.0) allowing authors to maintain control over their own work.
Article submission is open at any time of the year. However, we have editorial cut-off dates in order to potentially be published in the current edition. The submission deadlines for the next upcoming issues are April 22 and September 23, 2018. |

Enquiry is pleased to present its 2017 Edition of the journal. Readers can find articles focused on topics of architectural research that includes: the use of Space Syntax to examine if the locations of retails and commercial areas affects the choices of residential locations and commuting mode (Girmay Kifle Berhie and Saif Haq); the examination of residential configuration in regards to light quality from a female user perspective (Alaa Shatwan); a literature and precedent review of utility core strategies with a focus on shifting from rigid to adaptable core systems (Carlo Carbone and Basem Eid Mohamed); and a new approach for integrating systems thinking into architectural design using process modeling language (Ahmed Kamal Ali). |
